Sure, POET can use MillView to design and develop stuff for the interposer, at their own cost, but if the government provided funding, wouldn't that be considered subsidies, and why would the taxpayer want to do that? This is especially true when the interposer itself is supposedly very successful, so government grants may be frowned upon by taxpayers.

That being said, Trudeau believes that budgets balance themselves, so why not?

I could be wrong about this, but I don't hear of any other successful tech companies getting grants to help out production...
