Of course, one can never discount the idea of 'secrecy' continuing on a project supposedly delayed. I would trust POET to the point where they are not putting further funds to GaAs. That is still above board. POET has it patents and protection of their I.P. under GaAs anyway; and they can officially resume that when they are ready to do so and can afford to do so.
In the meantime, the Interposer is a more immediate solution to the industry at large and even that is carefully guarded and advances under NDA because of the highly competitive nature in the global I.T. industry. There is really nothing more we can expect until co-development products start cranking out new revenue. That's where POET is very near to going to as long as things are moving forward without any setbacks. POET has to do what their customers want and delicately share the balance of power where they can and protect what they cannot. It takes strong, good managment with the courage to do that right.
