I think that is too simplistic for the stage of development that the POET tech is at. Let's remeber it has moved from the Lab to the Fab. As such, you don't just have one engineer beavering away on the concept. You now have to produce the wafers, to run the cycles to do the proving of the tech. Everytime you change or tweak the receipt, you have to do this again. It simply cost's too much money to do this. I suspect someone could come up with theories, but proving it in a Fab setting is the issue.

Just my opinion though.
