Message: The Fourth Terminal

Forgive the naivete implied by this question, but would it be even remotely possible for POET to have tasked one employee with chipping away at solving this issue (once it was determined to be an issue) and still have enough engineering and production resources to have gotten where they are now? Is this something that can even be solved by individual effort, or does it necessarily take a team?

I guess there's a part of me that fantasizes that Suresh might have had such an initiative running in parallel with the larger developments being planned and achieved by the rest of the team, just so they can surprise us at some point with a more rapid resolution to the problem than we expect.

----------EDIT-------------

Sula's previous message made me think of this question, but I had only read the first couple paragraphs before I started to compose mine. I just went back and read this:

My expectations are that although the development iterations were too expensive to continue resulting in the halt, that had to be called for financial reasons, there has/is technical progress being made in the background for both for the 4th terminal work-around solution through, research, deep thought on someone’s behalf (GT perhaps)  and consultation etc., into just how to connect the 4th terminal. If I remember correctly, Shash indicated that this would require advancement on the manufacturing technology available (the machines) to achieve this. THis might have happened!. All this logically would have been an objective given to the research side of the Company (a special projet) or, surely some of those many new employees and sponsored PhDs at Universities (Swansea) might well be directed at this.

So we were thinking along the same lines...
