We have learned that datacenter operators don't care about technology, but about costs. So let's compare costs first.

POET makes the claim that their dielectric waveguide technology has the "potential to reach economic goal of $1/Gbps cost", see page 22 of the R&R presentation. While admittedly we still have to see how this plays out, it would be interesting where Kaiam's solution is positioned cost-wise. Does anyone know that?
