It was very interesting, to say the least, and it appears that a lot of progress was made.
The summary of that presentation basically lets us know what POET is up to and I do like the word "commercialize" over the word "develop". Commercialize means that they are ready to produce/sell, etc. Develop still means more time required.
• Poet Technologies is commercializing its unique planar optic platform for short reach interconnects • The InP platform enables lower cost packaging approaches for both Test & Measurement applications and narrow line-width lasers in the Sensing portfolio • The Dielectric platform is initially being targeted to enable compact Multiplexers and De-Multiplexers for the LAN-WDM market • The Dielectric spot-size converters enable lens-less packaging options using mode-matching techniques to reduce placement and coupling tolerances • The Dielectrics platform will enable a low cost and uncooled capability in both transmitters and receivers.
In my opinion, it seems like more revenue will be on its way now.
