Now why would I believe that? The company has stated that no technological roadblocks exist for the VCSEL and I believe them....why shouldn't I?

Your view is simplistic; the major chip manufacturers know all they need to know about POET, and perhaps, as you say, they are skeptical, but that really doesn't address the question of why someone doesn't take a run at us, unless of course we have nothing....OR, the important stuff, like a functioning VCSEL, is being kept behind closed doors until the time is right to roll it out.

That is my belief and most of the evidence points in that direction in my opinion.
