I think PNP still holds a chunk of POET shares and debenture holders will own a big chunck of PNP. My opinion it's all part of the their plan. They have decided to accept shares for debt. Why would they do that if Pinetree didn't have good value? They're going to get the shares cheap too. From the last NR
" In accordance with the terms of the debentures, Pinetree has elected to satisfy its obligation to pay $1-million of the $3-million principal amount of debentures redeemed by issuing and delivering common shares of Pinetree in lieu of cash to debentureholders. The number of common shares to be issued in payment will be determined by dividing $1-million by 95 per cent of the market price of the common shares, calculated as the volume-weighted average trading price of the common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange for the 20 consecutive trading days ending on the fifth trading day preceding the redemption date.'
A few days ago a big lot of shares went on the ask at $.05. Out of curiosity iI counted the trading days to Jan 8, closing date. Yep 20 days. They plan on getting those shares pretty cheap. I think they've been planning on owning this company for awhile now. JMO. Their website has been under constuction for a long time so you can't find out what individual holdings they have, at least I can't. Part of the plan? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe someone here has that information.
Is Sheldon involved in this??
Does it matter to us? Well yes if they still hold a chunk of PTK shares. Because if they do buying PNP now would give someone a good chance to get a peice of the POET pie for cheap.
All spectulation on my part but....
