Good question.
My best guess (hypothetical scenario) is they would await the completion of the prototypes before even making the decision to use POET's VCSELs.

Once results are in and/if contracts were signed I don't think "granny smith company" would suppress the fact that they are using POET's disruptive technology. (Unless they have some sort of exclusitivity in their contract).
Apple appears to be on a big push as of late to appear "Green".

A nice news release saying "hey we're using this new tech, up to 10x power savings etc.. might go a long way to help their image (and ours).
Again, all hypothetical and just my opinion.
