This forum was created by a small number of the current hub leaders as an alternative to the 'other ' board. Apart from the Agoracom rules they were looking for a more principled approach to how a bulletin board was used to share views and DD. The board will not function at all unless there is a measure of discipline applied.

The value judgement made by our hub leaders to impose discipline is an entitlement you give them by agreeing to the rules and accepted the ethos it's founders established at its inception, when you signed up, whether you like their decision or not.

This philosophy has generally worked well for this unique board which I have benefited from considerably and enjoyed participating in. There are however period of disquiet which are characterised by persistent and repetitive complaint which dulls this board's value.

I favour more discipline, not just from our hub leaders, but the best form of discipline - self dicipline.

We should all pause before posting to consider whether our posts really add value and are within the ethos of this board's philosophy set out by its founders.

Repetitive expression of personal fraustrations and vehement expressions belong to the other board.
