Please note that these are two very separate, independent points! Saying to be short is not the same as making false statements, at least not necessarily.

• I could be long on a stock based on true statements.
• I could be long on a stock based on false statements.
• I could be short on a stock based on true statements.
• I could be short on a stock based on false statements.

When I am investing in whatever stock, I want to know the facts, be they good or bad, as long as they are true. Only then I can make an educated investment decision. And if it turns out that there are bad and true news, this decision could be to sell or short that stock.

Regarding POET Technologies in particular, based on the facts I know about, I am very long. However, if there were any reasons to be short, I'd urgently like to know about them and discuss them here! This must be possible.

Facts are always relevant, be they positive or negative. What this board should do, what it does, and what it is good at, is to ponder facts and fiction and to separate one from the other so that we get an overall picture.

Still different people will come to different conclusions even if looking at the same picture. I cannot see anything wrong in telling others about those conclusions. We might not accept them, but we should at least tolerate them.

What we should debunk and reject are false statements, not the conclusions people draw from true statements. Instead of deleting them, we should put our own views against them.
