"At the last AGM, POET declared that they had some 12 to 14 M in the bank with a monthly burn rate of 370,000. Hence, POET would have sufficient cash to run normal operations for quite some time. So why bring up that POET had plenty of cash only to issue more shares. What possible theory would support that statement. Confused minds would love to know."

I can answer that for you quite easily Maple Syrup. The last PP done in early 2014 was scrutinized due to a similar circumstance where POET was believed to have had a lot of cash in hand already to continue operations until close to the end of the year, at very worst through to Q3, yet they surprised us with a PP. Some members here were adamant at the time that PTK didn't need cash until the end of the year based on the cash they still had from the previous PP and the current burn rate.

So its a very valid question considering what happened last time. I myself don't believe another PP would be in the works but funnier things have happened. We are too close to a revenue generating event to make that even remotely rational at this point.
