I agree, this is not off-topic, and may prove to be an integral part of the POETpuzzle that keeps on getting larger.
It has been said many times on this forum that POET and its' GaA's were weather-resistent to spaceflight conditions and is highly probable the reason why OPL/POET received funding from the US military (amongst other reasons as well) over the years.
Eileen also made a point of stating that many of these projects have been on-going, unbeknownst to us due to NDAs and military secrecy in general. Many of these technologies take years (decades) to develop and with the return of this spacecraft, the results of these tests could very well be onboard.
So, if we are months. or years behind the company and what they are working on, this could be a very good sign that what they are doing works, since the spacecraft made it back after all of that time in space, safely. Most spacecraft that spend that much time in space do not come back, but send their final bits of data and then are burned up in our atmosphere or another, less friendly one.
If POET was onboard, it's bullish.
