That's true, Dash8400. There are various different levels of understanding. The questions is which level of understanding is needed to make a founded investment decision.

Well, I think you don't have to understand all the ins and outs of POET. You don't have to know how to produce it.

For me, it is sufficient to know

  • that this thing is real, i.e. it has been produced, validated and considered great by a third party (BAE),
  • that there are huge benefits in power consumption, speed, heat generation, digital/analog/optical/electric integration, and (perhaps most important on the short term) production costs,
  • that POET can be deployed in virtually all vertical semiconductor markets,
  • that big names (okay, one big name for the time being) sees great potential in POET.
