Dash8400: Although we have some very intelligent people here, I'm not certain anyone one of them could describe in great detail how POET works, or, as importantly, how POET is put together.
That's true, Dash8400. There are various different levels of understanding. The questions is which level of understanding is needed to make a founded investment decision.
Well, I think you don't have to understand all the ins and outs of POET. You don't have to know how to produce it.
For me, it is sufficient to know
- that this thing is real, i.e. it has been produced, validated and considered great by a third party (BAE),
- that there are huge benefits in power consumption, speed, heat generation, digital/analog/optical/electric integration, and (perhaps most important on the short term) production costs,
- that POET can be deployed in virtually all vertical semiconductor markets,
- that big names (okay, one big name for the time being) sees great potential in POET.
