I don't think PC meant that he did not care about the SP. What he meant was that he and mgmt were not going to make decisions based on fluctuations of SP. I also inferred from his statement that he felt that eventually the SP would tale care of itself. It was a statement based on a longterm vision, not short term volatility.

I don't think he thinks of retail investors any differently than other investors.
