I think Poet has set very aggresive reduction targets to definitively demonstrate to potential partners that this technology is fully scalable, just like silicon has been, hence the reference to sub-100 nm.

But I think the partner would be happy with 100nm at this point, and that is why the article has generated the excitement. Anything below 100nm is just icing. The cake is ready to be licensed.
