It's a protective measure in the event that I am in the air on an airplane sleeping and for some reason there's bad news that results in a large negative response. I've seen the days of 20c in this stock, and I've been burned on other stocks in the past.

I'm surprised you don't have a stop, even a virtual one of "If it crosses this line, I'm out".
