1. If there is a certain fact someone else evaluates differently than you do, bear it. Post your own view, if you like, but don't regard the other's view as a personal insult.
2. If someone posts something that is objectively wrong, try to find out whether the poster is outright lying or accidentally mistaken because he doesn't know better. Huge difference! If he is mistaken, don't regard his mistake as a personal insult. Correct him in a friendly way. He will take your correction as an expansion of his knowledge and will be thankful. If he is lying, warn him. If he repeats lying, ask him to be banned. But never give the lie permission to touch your heart!
3. If you are being insulted, don't insult back. This may be hard, but adds to your own credibility. There are official ways for dealing with that.
4. If in doubt, stay quiet. If you can't, ask.
