RIO would be interesting, but I don't see it happening, despite the Canadian connection. With thier new (illegal?) director, and such close ties to China, I suspect they will be closely scrutinized - as they should be.

I think BHP's exit may open the door for some of the next tier to look at NOT. They may have been hesitant to enter a battle against an opponent as big and with as deep pockets as BHP. Although Twiggy is a fighter, he's been on a bit of a spending spree this year so, if a third bidder appears that sees what Wyloo sees in the ROF, he may have to dig deeper than he hoped.

Hopefully it will be an interesting New Year.
