IMO Noront, or rather the Ring of Fire, will not be allowed to be taken private. There are too many public and First Nation interests here that have a vested interest in keeping it protected from foreign control that may affect its national security. No...I believe Noront will continue to be Noront for all intent and purposes. It is my belief that we will simply see an old Noront wrapped up in a NEW NORONT modus operandi. A rinse and repeat of Forrest's Fortescue with the same drive and determination that made it successful and well respected. If Forrest were to turn around and try to make the Ring of Fire private under a foreign flag I can only see opposition from both our government, First Nations, and the US.

Allowing the Ring of Fire to be controlled privately would once again be a risk to national security. Instead, it would show others  how Canadian resources of such great importance to our country can be stolen, and then managed, to the benefit of private and foreign interests; ex. China. I seriously hope not. That is why I think that after all this time Forrest knows his reputation is on the line here. I don't believe his intention is to piss off Noront's current investors, nor the country, by doing something so underhanded just to find out that it will not be allowed. The rest of the world will not trust him if he attempts this. I don't believe with all that he wants to achieve globally that he should now risk everything by suddenly become infamous for only looking out for himself and his frieends when he truly wants to be known for caring about humanity.

Canada, I should hope, will stand on guard before that happens.
