Fahrenheit451, thanks for the cooling thoughts (I mean it. It's easy to get caught into thinking this will heat up to say $7 in time for Spot's birthday). :-) 

I agree neither of these companies got to where they are by overpaying, far from it, but even if Wyloo did rub it in BHP's face for what they think is overpayment, BHP would have the last laugh when they sell either the $8 billionth tonne from Eagle's Nest or the $70 billionth tonne of chrome from Blackbird or Black Thor.

Likewise, if BHP wins at $0.75 cents, they might rub it in Wyloo's face saying they  wimped out too early on a $70B+ opportunity.

Hopefully neither party is ready to bow out just yet.
