Wannaberich also remember that there is very likely much more Nickel hiding in the ring......centuries of chromite possibly means centuries of nickel?

My understanding is that in this type of classic differentiated magmatic system is that the geochemistry dictates that there has to be equal amounts of Nickel to Chromite. This is stated by Wes Hanson (around the 7:40min mark) in the 2012 Mass Min presentation. This means there is a ****load of Nickel still to be discovered.

I love this video as it explains the formation of the ring (about 2 min in) and one can visually see how Eagle 1 is just likely a tenticle rising from a large orebody.
