The blame lies on those who stopped the fur trade. There were so few that lived beyond Lake Nipigon that I would say those that are buried there , were lost. The fur trade was what got them there, a few hundred years ago to trap for sale to the people who came from around the world and when treaty came to be, there was plenty of work.
