So it was ok over all of that time and now it is not?
There was no Ottawa then with it's support payments so now such a community is no longer viable?
Well of course it is not by 21st century's standards.
So they have a choice, live by millenium old standards OR join the present century and stop belly aching and blaming the government or remainder of Canadians.
Their stress is from their seeing how others live and that they are not.
