That's like a freaking chicken and the egg story! For example : I booked an order at Vopak this year (they are a big storage company for oil and related products). It was about 2500 mtr of 8" stainless steel pipe. They do not have contracts yet for the intentional use for this pipeline, but they wanted to be ready for the future. Now this pipeline is value wise in no comparison with the 1 billion dollars for this project but come on. Is it not better to be ready then waiting for something to happen. Ofcourse prices are down and the market is certainly not at it's best but when it will be we will be to late !? Don't expect politicians to be the dare devils we need to make a decision so who can be of our help? Strange thing is that after this week not a single comment was made by our Noront or one of it's partners. So my best guess is that they are still confortable with the situation as it is right now.
