The confusion comes from the dispute between Cliffs and KWG about the N-S route. KWG wanted a railroad and Cliffs a road. Unless one assumes that Cliffs were total fools there must have been a good reason for Cliffs to want a road. Last I heard this matter is still before the courts except now it is between Noront and KWG. Has anyone heard if this has been settled yet?
