Message: Last Standing Obstacle

"The chiefs are also opposed to an east-west road corridor to service Noront’s nickel deposit in the Ring of Fire. They favour a north-south corridor that will move chromite."

If that is the case then they do not understand some of the fundamentals regarding the Ring's chromite.
A road will not move chromite, that is what they need to learn.
A road is for their own use and to move less bulky metals from mine production. It is near useless for chromite. All a road will do for chromite is make it easier to build chromite mines and a rail road. Rail road is what is needed to move the chromite economically and Yes the N-S route for that is best.

It amazes me how by this time these kinds of notions still persist.

And if they had come on board in reasonable time with regard to road and Noront's mine construction then Franco-Nevada might not even be in the picture. So they should stand in front of a mirror and complain to the person there.
