If we were going any slower we would be going backward, and where does all the money come from if the governments don't get any revenue from mining. If we all stopped living in cities and moved to the bush and lived off the land, how would that help the envirorment. Mining and cars is not the problem with the world ecology. It will actualy help with better technology. A million airplanes burning tons of fuel, flying at 5 miles above the earth is. Not a single eco-nut cares about that as it their main mode of transportation to get to a protest from their preppy dinner meetings. Attack that instead of what goes on on the ground. A mine is gone in a hundred years,reclaimed by mother nature, and low level polution is temporary compared to the stratosphere. Stop mining, is like stopping farming, now that is rediculous. Everybody would die. Are they going to stand up and be first. Make the sacrifice for our over populated planet.
