While ageeing we all differ in details.

I prefer buyout before drilling mainly due to both requiring cash.
Granted that drilling could cost less if we hit on something substantial early while drilling, but it is an IF, do not rely much on if.
Buying we already have a known resource so no risk involved and an opportunity missed is lost.

More so, drilling will never escape us, it is just a debate whether we do it early or later.
