Tin Man,

Very versatile drilling technology!

The biggest advantage, imo, is that the drill is set up at one collar location and the drill bit could be "steered" to various directions. I believe, KWG/BOL has used (still being used?) this technology in drilling at Koper Lake JV with FNC. This technogy is well-known for deep and horizontal drilling for oil/gas exploration.
