CrazyT: The rights you speak of are pertainung to ALL Citizens. Where we were born should have nothing to do with rights and I believe it is a fallacy to use that connection. Rights pertain to People no matter who they are or how they look like.

When I refer to natives or immigrants ( I call myself an immigrant because of my European genes), it pertains to where they came from or what their past history is. It is a distinction as blonds are to black hair BUT each has got nothing to do with rights or distinction of ownership to anything.
Where we come from or our past history has only to do with colouring our experiance and culture. Which in turn flavours our opinions and ideas.

It is no mistake that Canada chose to allow immigrants and even 'natives' to keep some of their culture. That is like spice to a meal. Personally I do not favour the melting in the US of A.
