If they plan on mining at depths of 1600 metres, then ramp(s) may not be the way to go. The time and resources required to haul muck at that depth is huge. Shafts would be better at those depths, but there is no talk of that. The time and engineering required to construct suitable collars for shafts would be very difficult in those swampy conditions.
