CBC Radio is reporting that Cliffs has purchased an old mine site at Capreol and this will be the location of their chromite smelter. Capreol is just north of Sudbury and is on the CNR main line. According to the reporter the deal was made a year ago. If it was a year ago it makes one wonder why they kept the other communities hanging. As a resident of Ontario the good news from this report would be that at least some of it will be processd in Ontario.
