I agree with your basis sentiment, however, the above line is actually part of the discovery of pertinent information surrounding an issue. I think your phrase has more to do with not discounting a question or the person posing the question in a disrespectful way which I certainly agree with.
To assess the question and it's validity in terms of Edgy's responses to the value of Ni declining and hence it's affect on NOT exemplifies assessing the validity of a question at least in part. He cited that NOT's find was so rich that NOT could operate at a much lower market price for Ni and still be highly profitable as their profit margin would be far in excess of so many other mines, of laterite deposits for instance, that may have to shut down. This could actually put NOT in a great position to capitize immediately upon improve prices as well while others would take some time in reopening and mobilizing the work force. So the price of Ni, always of importance, would not be as significant to NOT's operation, therefore the original question would only be partially valid.
