I'm not sure how to read today's jump in price. If the price was driven up and held for a couple of weeks I might buy the ideas that it related to a PP but no one is going to pay a big premium over the past months trading unless they anticipate news that hasn't been priced into the stock and I don't see that on the immediate horizon. My immediate reaction was that it looked like a 3 month trailing average takeover premium. 25-35% increases on a Friday spook me. The thing is I don't see what would trigger a takeover right now. I suspect that most of us expect active FN action this fall and winter that would surpress SP. So why not wait? As to surprises in the core it's possible, especially with Pt group metals which are tough to see visually, but a nickel or chromite hit would have been obvious at the time of drilling. So I don't see it coming from there. Bottom line is that we will be amongst the first retail investors to know why, but that still puts us way down the information chain. At least this time it a decent bump up instead of a kick in the .... Been There
