Message: Building the Alaska Highway

A war effort of remarkable achievement, was accomplished because there were no limits on spending and man power to do the job. No limits .

It is careless to compare that project to the challenges of developing resources in Ontario's north country. That is like comparing apples to oranges.

This entire discussion on the development of the Ring of Fire is not about if it can be done, it is about WHEN it will be done. And WHO will contribute. And what scale of development will take place, and where.

Northern Ontario will be developed. Just don't think in terms of years. Decades is the minimum time frame to consider. Many.

I know that building a short highway or long stone road is easy. Anywhere. Once there is the political will.

And therein lies the rub. The rest is just talk, memories and dreams.

Kobe from Niagara.
