I was not at all surprised that the RoF was not mentioned in "The Great Debate".
Here's the way I see it.
Weather we like it or not most voters have zero interest in the RoF, Northern Ontario, mining or anything north of the 401.
The 3 candiddates did not mention the RoF because they know that the voters are more interested in other issues such as health care.
If a candidade where to bring up the RoF and show support for spending money on RoF or any northern initiative they would lose votes because voters only want their money spent on things thay are interested in.
This simply shows how uninformed voters are in general. They have absolutely no understanding of the contributoion mining and forestry make to the economy of Ontario or indeed Canada.
Ontario has become a have not province because we stick to the idea that southern ontario manufacturing is where it is at. Sadly we have lost that sector to other countries including China, Mexico and the US.
