The words were spread from KWG, not Noront. Noront said: "No comments"! So the question would rather be " Why would KWG want to be acquired by Noront?" And then I think the answer is in Frank Smeenk words:
"According to a Cliffs document from February, a base case for the development of its (Cliffs) chrome assets at McFauld's Lake includes the development of another project named Black Thor. The document does not mention a possible development of Big Daddy. Meanwhile, KWG's wholly owned subsidiary, Canada Chrome, has staked a right-of-way for a potential railway to McFauld's Lake, but Cliffs favors a road to the site, Smeenk said."
Yes I know that on paper Noront has no interest in grabbing KWG to save her from drying up, and before another PP would bring its float to the near billion mark. But why don't those guys do something to consolidate and avoid letting the weak juniors been swallowed for peanuts, or dried to sub-penny! Golden parachutes may well be the answer... Mac was tired and wanted more time to go fishing. Same about with Neil... Frank is a different man. He will fight to the end.. to his own end??? I hope not. But please, guys there, do something, be different, be creative! For the sake of us!!!
