" Maybe NOT is still trying to fly under the radar once again.."
Actually, if one ignores the constant complaints about the state of one's Noront investment as it applies to day to day trades, and considers the whole picture, it is possible to come to a very different conclusion than what seems to go on here day after day.
One should be able to maybe agree that there was considerable effort expended on the selection of the personalities that now run Noront. If we consider that the huge income these guys will get from Noront for management fees, but also consider that they don't get them as things sit. And if we also consider that maybe they ignore retail because they understand that retail only wants lots of news on a regular basis in order that their investment can grow and they can get to trade it on a regular basis for profit, while they as insiders cannot trade to any extent. Then if we consider that Noront's BOD likely gets at least daily updates on what is going on, and that we (possibly because of the above) know next to nothing.
Then, if one goes one step further and takes the SFF factor out of the equation completely, it is possible to get a completely different picture.
There are several individuals involved in what we call our Board of directors, but just consider the main one for this discussion.
Wes Hanson draws a salary from Noront. Is it lucrative? Not likely. If that is what he is there for, he could likely do better just sitting at home and playing the market live from his computer (I wish). His real return will come from the options he has, same as everyone else. Almost all of what he has are priced from 1.25 all the way up to +5.00. He has a few in the .60 range, but nothing really noteworthy. He may be many things, but not likely stupid (too many ess'es). Logic simply says, he has a plan. He knows what it is, we don't
My decision is pretty much made that I am going to just let this ride for the present. Maybe I am wrong, but one has to go with their gut sometimes. I dumped a huge amount into SPQ in 2007, simply because they were next to Noront's new discovery, I dumped all that into Noront in 2008, but anyone who says they made money in 2008 is likely lying, watched 7.43 come and go, then put it all into FWR in 2009, and then back into SPQ for 2010. Somehow I feel Noront's day is coming in 2011.
