I've mentioned the subject of Noront's seeming silence on so many fronts on different occasions. NOw I see they are attending this chinese trade fair or whatever it is, while the main competition (CLF) is not.

I've also tallied a few of the benefits they see from this proposed ramp to the 300m mark. It has also been suggested that they have one particular sweet spot they would like to be at when they reach the bottom of this ramp. Perhaps this spot would also position them ideally to fulfill a side contract to ship 2-300k tons of chromite to Asia, once infrastructure is in place. Why not hold your tongue for the moment, wait for others to announce their intentions regarding road/rail etc, and then suddenly discover the economics are there

So many of these little side plays, that have no value attached because of lack of infrastructure, such as Vanadium, chromite, copper. Add to that the discussions about the potential of the ROF. If this potential is there, and one assumes it will be found, who happens to own something like 60-70% of the claims in the area?

So many question the economics of the rail line or even an all season road, but try going a bit off topic and compare other areas that do it. One example would be Hudbay mining in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Almost all of their mining operations are conducted in the Snow Lake area, where the ore (copper, Zinc) is simply bought to surface and loaded directly on rail cars, to be shipped to the mill and smelter facilities in Flin Flon (150km). If it is economic to ship raw copper/zinc ore in this fashion, where does milled nickel or chromite fit into the picture?

Best regards

K
