"Where did they come from, and where did they suddenly go?"
I have no clue as to where they came from and probably it does not matter but I do not think that they went anywhere, at least not yet.
I am fairly certain that the sellers, since the news, were genuine profit takers that loaded up below 90 cents. Now most of those having taken their profits, either went after the next opportunity in some other stock or are sitting with ready cash for the sp to drop and make them bite.
I also suspect that many of the buyers that bought above a buck are still sitting with those shares and will probably keep them for quite a while.
Of course there must be a few who bought without doing any decent investigation of the share behaviour and are now thinking 'I have egg on my face.' They were hoping that the sp would continue much higher but looking at the sp of the last few months would have shown them sp
appreciation before news and then a drop with or just after the news.
Those short time speculators did not leave, they just lost further interest. What they should realize is that the time to buy is when sp drops and not when it rises.
Appologies to most of you here for the rant, but it is quiet and there may be a few that need it.
p.s. Anyone notice that from about noon for almost an hour on the TMX there were no trades ( Volume sat at 111,915) and now we have a small surge? TMX volume = 157,415. Odd.
