I think we shouldn´t get carried away with this SRP issue.

As Kerry pointed out, a SRP DOES NOT prevent a company to be taken over at a "low share price".

And the shareholders are NOT protected in a better way through a SRP.

The critical point of every SRP is the "permitted bid".

Because if the BoD classifies a takeover offer as a "permitted bid" (see FWR), than the SRP will not be triggered.

And even if the SRP is triggered, we would all need cash immediately to invest in the followed heavy dilution of the company.

Conclusion: a SRP is NOT the holy grail for prevention of a takeover !
