You're right Shortty. The targets oil crews are aiming for are usually pretty large. They know when they've hit because oil comes out. With the core drills, they constantly have to have surveying crews come in to make sure the hole is going at the correct angle, and then geophysics crews come by quite often to do surveys off of the holes. Never mind the multiple holes that are drilled off of the main hole. If you were to look at a cross section, it would resemble a tree with a larger diameter main hole, with smaller diameter branches going off in different directions. Comparing the two is not a valid argument.
