"Once someone posted (Misfit) I think, that if you had sold at the high, you might have invested in and lost it all with the downturn in the market, never to recoup your money,"
So much wisdom sometimes can come from one simple statement. I do have an aquaintance that, while not selling at the high, did unload everything at 6.85, and spent a couple of months applauding himself on his trading ability. When the SP dropped to 4.40, he was so sure of himself that he went all in again including all available margin. Less than 2 months later he had lost it all.
The point I am trying to make is that there is a time to buy or sell, and it can be different for each of us, and buying on a perceived low or selling on a perceived high, will not necessarily mean dollars in your pocket at year end. However, with the combined market knowledge and background of the whole group that makes up this forum, we do have a huge advantage over the individual investor, if it is used in a proactive way. This was actually done quite effectively on the SPQ forum during the recent takeover, and I would hope that a decent number of the posters from there will migrate their way here.
There is going to be a move made with Noront in the near term. I don't know if it will be in the form of a JV of some sort, a buyout, or a huge upward movement in mineralization. They are all prominent possibilities, and will each have their effect on our SP. This is all theoretical, as I have nothing factual or logical to offer, in the sense of what Hoov, or CMP or other posters who have the facts to back up their statements. It is a sense of the market place, resulting from watching it for the last 35 years, and is very similar to the feeling that were emanating from FWR and SPQ shortly before the move was made on them. One of the best indicators to me is the trading patterns over the last few days. It is obvious that the SP wants to break out of it's boundaries, but keeps getting held back for some reason. This is fine with me as I have been accumulating heavy over the last week, and I have a bit more to take up tomorrow.
Best regards
