I expect that selling shares should be no different in difficulty than buying. Fortunately I never trade all in or all out but stagger as the sp swings up or down. There is reason for that strategy as applied to day trading only.
What I mean is that I have no problem emptying my cash at the low. Presently I'm down to a couple of hundred $. However should the sp appreciate, I base my selling price on the news and sell in bits at a time as it rises. As I said before, I almost never end up selling all that I intended because the sp reverts downward before I am through.
I stagger my trades so that if sp swings the other way I have traded at least some shares and am not left out. My problem is that I am to optimistic with each news and therefore lousy at estimating at what the peak price will be. Result, I almost never sell all that I intended on positive spikes.
World Cup:
I expected Germany to be the champs, so favour them to take 3rd place today. As for tomorrow, while I agree that Spain should take the cup, my sentiment is with Holland due to personal connections.
What ever the final standings, it is sport, it is games and entertainment, so we all win.
