What I am saying is that if there is to be any chance of returning this forum to it's former stature with the BOD, the effort will have to come from us. The recent effort towards the gov'ts regarding infrastructure is a good example of ways we can help, but we have to also get rid of the constant negativity towards the BOD that has been prevalent or the positive steps are like peeing into the wind.
I approached the Noront booth with the intention of attempting to clear things up. I must inform you that it is not the forum that is negative. The negativity comes from the BoD and more precisely from the I.R. people who are the front line for dodging questions.
The fact that they do not want any info to flow is one thing. I can understand that, but when, every time Agoracom is mentioned, they go into fight mode with hackles up, it makes it very difficult to discuss anything.
I got the impression that if Agoracom and the members cooperate, these I.R. people would be out of a job. I don't see anything they are doing that positively impacts the company as we move forward.
When an individual or group is hired, one would expect that the employees hired would add to the whole of the company.
We have a group of IR people right now who are negatively impacting the company. I understand completely the companies decision to go into silent mode. What I can't understand is for I.R. to continue this back and forth bickering. This is not what I.R. is supposed to do.
I know that my I.R. Professor would not condone it if I acted as they are. I was always taught to go for a win win situation rather than try to gain one-ups-manship.
What kind of money is being wasted on IR folks reading the Agoracom Forum all day? They told me they do! They just sit and wait for someone to show some frustration and then they say see, look at the A-holes. And they have our money.
I went to that booth with an open mind and left with a mind closed like a trap.
I noticed that George was at the booth taking to Joanne afterwards so maybe he will get through to her.
I'll play ball. I just won't play ball alone.
