Yes you can,quite easily.

Automated trading will match quantities first for simplicity.If you bid .80 for 1000 shares and I bid .80 for 700 and the ask is .80 for 700 I will get filled and you won't.I also have a bid for 300 and there is an ask for 300 I will get filled while you're still waiting for an ask of 1000.You've seen this trading where "odd" number trades are being constantly filled.300,600,1200,there's a good reason for that.JMO.
