Interesting thought. Pontoon bridge. Certainly might be cost effective. I guess it depends on the width of the rivers.
I went to the link for the Noront 43-101 supplied by Notster (I had forgotten about this document) and read about the engineer's requirements dealing with infrastructure (starting page 60). Basically when it refers roads, it refers to a gravel road 7 meters wide.
This 43-101 document was published on October 20, 2008. A lot of drilling has gone on since then throughout the ROF. And the potential tonnage of chromite alone almost dwarfs the imagination. My guess is that a gravel road ain't going to cut it now. But perhaps my naivity shows. Maybe that's the best choice for the remote north.
But I still think with the magnitude of the mineral discoveries may require some grand engineering solutions. Something I think our politicians need to get their collective heads around. Lots of $$$ may be needed, but think of the jobs and tax revenue.
Any thoughts?
