If and when a buy-out offer comes I do get a vote. Maybe not the kind you are thinking of. Only Rousseau cares what their cost base is. I only care about mine. If an offer of $6 comes as a buy-out, I don't have to tender my shares. Neither does any other shareholder. Usually these offers come with strings attached, like the offer is good only if 66% ( or whatever figure they want ) is tendered. If management is in favour, it becomes a friendly takeover, otherwise it isn't friendly. I don't think we have to worry about anything like this for some time. Maybe someone else has a different take on this.
