I am guessing it has more to do with the fact that US markets are closed today, giving other markets a better chance to make money on this NR. I suspect we will be halted for the day.

Man, glad I'm long on this. Shorts are going to have a long weekend of bashing to do. Looks like some of them are already hard at work...
